MAKEUP

The condition of your skin is the most important factor in the way your makeup will look. If you have a few months before your event date, consider visiting an esthetician for monthly facials.

A good skin care routine includes cleansing, occasional light exfoliation, and hydration. Dry skin types need additional moisture. Don’t forget to hydrate your lips, neck, and chest!

If you’re short on time, don’t try any new skin care products in the month leading up to your event, as you never know what reaction you may have. If you need personalized tips, please let me know!

Drink plenty of water, eat well, and get enough rest.

Please arrive with a clean face for a makeup service. On your event day, it is not necessary to apply any skin care products, moisturizer or primer as all skin prep will be provided.

Wear a top, preferably white, that you can change out of without rubbing on your face, such as a button up shirt or very wide neck t-shirt.

Most makeup applications will take about an hour.

HAIR

Keep up with your routine hair trims.

Please arrive with clean, dry hair, unless advised otherwise.

Thin/fine hair: If possible, use a volumizing shampoo. Avoid using conditioner or hair oils. If your hair has difficulty holding curl or lacks texture, do a rough bow dry.

Wavy/curly hair: If you are not going to wear your hair in its’ natural texture, blow dry it smooth with a large round brush.

If you are adding clip-in extensions to your look, please bring your clean, dry extensions with you.

If you are wearing hair accessories, please bring them with you.

Remember to wear a top that will not disturb your hair when you change.

Most hair styles will take about an hour. Vintage waves typically take longer! Also, adding extensions will add time to the process.
